Welcome to my blog. This is going to be a sometimes chaotic, often embarrassing, work in progress for several reasons. First, I have often flirted with the idea of actually writing things down for others to read, but have been a bit reluctant (concerned and downright afraid) to put some to print, especially on the 'World Wide Web'. I use that term rather than 'internet' because I think it serves to drive home the implication of choosing to use such a forum to relate my past tales. Second, most of the stuff that I could put here would require 'creative' editing to ensure that either myself, nor any other innocent would suffer any kind of harm, social or legal. Some of these stories will have persons whom I count as friends, and may not understand what they read. For you, I offer a sincere apology, but you must understand that being who I am, these things are par for the course.
This blog will not follow any determined chronological format. I might discuss something from 20 years ago or yesterday. In fact, it's a safe bet that I will do that within the posts themselves considering I have a nice case of ADD. Because of that however, you can be sure that this blog will not be updated daily, as that would require far more dedication than this brain is chemically capable of maintaining.
One last bit of needless worrying - my parents. Thankfully they are not computer literate, and would likely never discover this blog. However, I will not be using theirs, or my, real name in this blog. If someone I know happens to leave any comments, I ask that you respect this. You'll understand why when you begin reading it.
And now for the disclosure. I am a 36 year old married, single, father of two, who was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder when I was 20. I have recently been diagnosed with Bipolar Manic Depressive (like my younger brother was, only his diagnosis occurred when he was about 14) and ADD.
As you can imagine, this has led to some varied and, sometimes downright dangerous, interesting situations in my life. I was born into the outlaw biker culture. No, I do not ride a bike (though I would love to get one!) and have maintained a rather 'clean' record as far as anything involving the police is concerned. I am not 'tatted' up, nor do I ever intend to be. I have one, and even if I decide to get the other two, I would still only have three small tattoos in covered places.
Obviously, in order to get a fabulous mental state such as mine, you have to have some interesting childhood stories. And I do. However, you will not read all of them. Some are reserved for myself and the shrink. That about does it for the introductory posting. I'm going to take a few to think about where i want to start with the tales.
P.S. I have several 'Grammar Police' friends, and you know who you are, that will probably see some incorrect comma use, eliptical use, and sentence structure. For you I offer the following: 'Suck it Trebek. Suck it long, and suck it hard.'
